Haimant Bissessar is a graduate of McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario. He has worked in the field of Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART) as an embryologist, andrologist and researcher for over 35 years. Haimant’s innovative ideas and forward thinking was recognized by his peers with the prestigious Laboratory Innovation in Fertility and Embryology (LIFE) Award.
Haimant served two terms as an executive member of the ART Laboratory Special Interest Group of the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS) and is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).
Haimant has a keen interest in ART regulations and has published many articles on matters that are of interest to the ART community. He is currently the President of CAN-AM Cryoservices, a cryobank specializing in the importation and distribution of quality donor sperm and eggs.
